Gun Shy was over on the West Coast of Florida today, and I saw the banner shown in the picture flying over the street. The banner was clearly visible as you drove into town and underneath, it listed the names of those returning. It made me proud to be an American, because it re-enforced the point that there are still many good and decent people here who care about the Sons and Daughters of America who have been serving on foreign soil that are now returning home. Gun Shy salutes the city of Dunedin Florida for a job well done in welcoming home our troops.

Thieves Auditing Their Own Books
Let me explain the title of this commentary. Mr Obama was legal counsel for ACORN. ACORN and Mr Obama are also tied to SEIU. ACORN and SEIU "helped" Obama get elected. Mr Obama appointed Eric Holder as AG. As we have seen, the justice department has some financial ties to ACORN. It only makes sense that ACORN would get a reprieve from this administration to help them regroup so that they will be around to "assist" the current administration in the next election.

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist

So it appears that under the "hope and change" banner, we are now giving enemy combatants (911 terrorists) trials in a civilian court funded by taxpayer dollars while prosecuting our warriors for assault. Is anyone else feeling a little surreal here?

You will note in the title that Gun Shy is "jumping to conclusions" and calling the shooter a terrorist despite the warning from Mr Obama. All of the anti-gun crowd are having a hysterical pants $hittin' field day with this one. The "Brady Bunch" is getting a lot of mileage out of it, and they are all crying for the pistol to be outlawed. I was at a firearms dealer yesterday, and I was "skeered" to death that it might just jump up out of the case and wreak carnage in the store, or maybe even throughout the town.
Seriously, there is nothing magical about this pistol. It is a "tupper" gun (plastic) that fires a short rifle type of round. At first glace, it reminds me of the "saturday night special" also known as a Highpoint. Once again, much ado over nothing. Pretty soon, it will be labeled as an "assault" pistol by the mainstream media. The MSM's time would be better spent if they focused on the TERRORIST (that's right...I said it again) and quit worrying about inanimate objects that have no decision making power.

As you read the article you will notice this:
"Marquise Antonio Culbreath faces 11 felony counts of firing into an occupied vehicle. Police said he shot the bus with a BB gun. Charges are pending against another juvenile who fired at the school bus with an Airsoft gun."
Let me get this straight. ELEVEN felony charges levied against a 13 YEAR OLD for shooting a window with a BB gun while violent repeat offenders roam the streets terrorizing law abiding citizens. It looks like it is time to register BB guns and ban all of the "assault" style BB guns.
Maybe their time and effort would be better spent focusing on the more serious issues such as this:
