There Goes the Neighborhood…AGAIN

There was another shooting which appears to be random last night, fairly close to the campus of University of Central Florida. According to the victim, the family stopped because they were lost and trying to get directions, when another vehicle rolled up and started shooting through their windows. They had a small child in the car who was unharmed, and the driver was glazed by a bullet. A while back, there was another random type of shooting just down the road at a new mini gold course. The local media never followed up on it (the local media seems to be scattered and weak in its reporting). In an earlier commentary, I outlined the hazards of living in East Orlando, especially for college students who are not aware of the craziness that is occurring on a more regular basis in this once nice area of Orlando. Gun Shy suspects that it could be young gang members trying to get some street rep by doing random acts of violence to demonstrate how tough and or heartless they are.
