Uh...that would be in your "democracy" Mr Obama. Let me help you out with this, because it may have not been made clear to you before you were teaching constitutional law as you have often stated.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America...and to THE REPUBLIC for which it stands..."
Uh...not a "democracy" as you have stated, but a Republic with some democratic aspects.
