I wonder why the news didn't report the identity?

The hijacker had a gun and was reported to have a bomb like device. Why no other details? Just for laughs, I went onto the net and read ten other news agencies reports about the incident, and they all read exactly the same. This is why syndicated news sucks, and all the news agencies are is pseudo news parrots.
