OIA Surveillance Cameras Don't Cover Garage

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando International Airport is getting $7.5 million from the federal government to buy surveillance cameras, but none of the money will be used to install those cameras in the airport's garage.
WFTV first reported in November that there aren't any cameras inside the garage, but it doesn't look like that will be changing anytime in the near future.
Sixteen million people park in OIA's parking garage each year, but not one camera watches the people, or their cars.
As the readers might remember, another Orlando media outlet published a lit of concealed carry permit holders.

The catalyst behind that trend is "abusive behavior by the media," said Marion Hammer, executive director of Unified Sportsmen of Florida. Hammer's group pushed for the change in Florida's law last year after an Orlando television station became the latest media outlet to run a database of concealed handgun permit holders.
"They made it sound like exercising a constitutional right was something wrong, and they held [gun owners] up to ridicule," Hammer said.
How nice it was of the media to inform the criminals where they could go to steal guns.
