I am Sure Glad I Don't Live in California

Supreme Court orders California to release tens of thousands of prison inmates

The flood of violent felons are about to be released, in a state that has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. Not a good combination for the law abiding citizens.

quote:

In recent figures, the state said it had about 142,000 inmates behind bars, and the judges calculated the prison population would need to be reduced to about 110,000 to comply with constitutional standards.

Let’s do the math on this shall we? Roughly seventeen percent of the prison population at the federal level are illegal aliens. Some have put this estimate higher for California, but for now we will go with this percentage. If you take seventeen percent of 142,000, you can see the number of illegal’s that are contributing to the overall crowding problem. It is estimated that the cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in California's prisons and jails amounts to about $1.4 billion a year. (not including related law enforcement and judicial expenditures, as well as other associated costs) This money could be used to build the additional prisons needed. Why not take all of the illegal felons, and send them back across the border with the promise of if they return, they will face a firing squad. Problem solved, and the safety of law abiding citizens will be protected for once.
