Did Texas Fold Like a Cheap Lawn Chair?

I am wondering if Texas is suffering from the same problem that Florida has. What is happening here, is that transplants are coming to Florida from liberal areas of the country, getting into politics, and then exerting their brand of control over the Florida natives.

As Texas Goes…

Check out Tam's interesting comment at the bottom:

The pisser of the thing?

DFW is a major, major hub. (Houston handles a few flights too.)

All it would have taken is for TX to pass this, and Rick Perry to sign it and then say to the TSA “Go ‘head. Stop your flights to Texas… and bring all airline travel in the lower 48 to the biggest screeching halt you’ve seen since 9/12.”

Lawyer up, see who blinks first, and either way Perry would have been carried over his own protests to the front of the GOP field for ’12, the favorite son of a state with more electoral votes than MA, MN, and AK put together.

Is there an establishment politician anywhere in the GOP with a sense of the theatrical anymore? I don’t think this train can be stopped, but it’s disheartening when no politician even tries to slow it down to give people more time to brace for impact…
