Thinking About Taking a Break
Gun Shy really enjoys the readers, and their comments as well as their interesting e-mails. I feel like the blog has a well informed intelligent group of readers, and that is something that I really enjoy. Lately however, I have been feeling like I am preaching to the choir, so I may take a break for a while to get re-focused. If the posting gets light, you will know what is going on.

An Incident Here in Central Florida
Just the other day I was driving through an economically depressed section of a small local town, and I noticed a small residential type building there that had been set up as a mosque. It made me wonder if the area was specifically targeted to reach people who felt that they had been oppressed by 'the man', which is a technique that is also used in jailhouse conversions.

Also, in the United States, aren’t federal judges required to take two oaths? I believe that one of them reads something like this:
I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as (office) under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God.
This is the beginning of a dangerous precedent setting slippery slope where subjective decisions will now have the ability to override Constitutional law.

I guess all the FOIA requests on the birth certificate, passports, school records, and now the gunwalker debacle was the last straw for Obie's administration so he has mobilized his buddy Eric at the DOJ to take care of it once and for all.
