Spanking detrimental to children, study says
All of today's generation of rebellious youth were spawned by parents who were raised under the guidance of child rearing expert Dr Spock. (not of star trek fame) In the Bible, we are instructed to chastise an unruly child. (this does not mean a severe beating)
He who holds back his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him early.(Proverbs 13:24)
Do not withhold discipline from a child; when you strike him with a rod, he will not die. You shall strike him with a rod, and you will save his soul from the grave.(Proverbs 23:13-14)
