Police: Robber, Homeowner Shot

OCOEE, Fla. -- A homeowner pulling into his garage early Tuesday morning, was jumped by two men and escalades into an exchange of gunfire, said police.

The victim, who lives in the Orchard Park subdivision, told authorities he was pistol-whipped by the two men and pulled out his own weapon, firing at his attackers, shooting one of them. One of the alleged robbers fired back, hitting the resident, said police. Authorities said the other man got away while the other was face down on the driveway with a gunshot wound. That wounded man was taken to the hospital, but died.

The victim's wife and daughter were both in the house and heard the gunshots and the wife called 911. The husband is in stable condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Thankfully the man had a weapon, and probably stopped himself from being killed and defended his family from harm. If this man had lived in one of the gun anal places like New York, Massachusetts, or Washington D.C. where criminals have guns but law abiding citizens are forcibly disarmed by politicians, he would be dead and his wife raped or dead.
