Florida is Heading in the Same Direction as California...

...towards bankruptcy.

Fla.'s Jobless Rate Hits 10.2 Percent - Agency Says 943,000 Floridians Unemployed

quote:
Florida's unemployment rate in May jumped to 10.2 percent -- its highest level in more than three decades. The state agency that tracks unemployment numbers said Friday that unemployment rose by half a percentage point over the revised April figure of 9.7 percent. The May figures represent the highest unemployment number in Florida since 1975 when it was 11 percent.

I just recently returned from living in California, and I can see all the same signs occurring in this state that I saw while living out there. Florida is about a year and a half behind them financially speaking on the road to being bankrupt as a state. Anyone got any comp magic tickets? (perk for the politicians)
