Mother of the Year

Mother Robs Wendy's With Daughter In Back Seat

UPDATE NOTE:
After I wrote this commentary, the media added more details to the article I linked to. It turns out that the mother of the year was a crack smoker.

quote:
A three-year-old girl was taken along for the ride during her mother's crime spree in Brevard County. Cocoa police say it all started in the early hours of Friday morning when the mother, with her daughter in the backseat, decided to rob the Wendy's on US 1 in Cocoa. Police say she was armed with a gun and got away with $600 cash.
When the cops showed up, the suspect jumped in her car and took off. Police chased her for nearly 10 minutes and finally used stop sticks on her vehicle. One police car even blew a tire on the stop sticks.

It is evident that people are getting more desperate, more brazen, and more stupid as things change for the worse in this economy. I guess my curiosity is based on whether this woman was desperate to feed her child, or desperate to feed her drug habit. If this crime was done because of desperation to take care of her child, it is wrong, but Gun Shy can at least understand the motivation. If it was done due to addiction, then Gun Shy has another view. I have always believed that drug dealers are ruining our great nation. They have no conscience, and many innocent people are injured or killed when their customers go on crime sprees to obtain money to buy the pusher man’s poison. Gun Shy believes that when a drug dealer is taken into custody, during the trial and sentencing they need to be made aware of the fact, that if they are arrested a second time for the same charge and convicted, there will be a death sentence attached to the act. This is because they are destroying the lives of millions with their selfish behavior, as well as costing the taxpayers billions in lost wages, lost productivity, taxpayer money spent for law enforcement to investigate drug operations, fees to incarcerate drug dealers, court fees to prosecute, damage done to the victims of robberies that are done by their customers, health care for those who become catastrophically ill from drug abuse, etc.

Gun Shy also believes that any corrupt government official that directly benefits from illicit drug money should be tried for treason against our nation, and executed publicly once they are found to be guilty
