Muslim leaders say they were taken off Tenn flight
quote:
The men contacted the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim civil rights and advocacy group in Washington, D.C.
"It's racism and bias because of our religion and appearance and because of misinformation about our religion." Rahman said. "If they understood Islam, they wouldn't do this."
First of all, I find it interesting that the first people they contacted was CAIR, who was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy-Land Foundation terrorism funding case, which resulted in convictions on all 108 counts.
Secondly, Americans understanding of Islam is based on 9/11, the Times Square bomber, the Christmas bomber, the people who beheaded Daniel Pearl, the Fort Hood shooter, etc. If they want to change Americans views of Islam, then they have to start speaking out against those who seek to do violence in the name of religion. Time to get busy instead of continually whining about being the victim.

Muslim cabbies refuse to transport passengers carrying alcohol. Both taxis and airlines are private modes of transportation regulated by the government.
Good point ocopek...never thought of that.
