This blog may at times appear to be rather cynical, sometimes comical (hence the pen name Gun Shy Tourist), and often critical in its evaluation and reporting. The problem is this: the most innocuous mistake is still horrifying when made in the wrong circumstances. Asking a non-pregnant lady when she is due would be a classic example. It does not matter how harmless the question is. It does not matter how pregnant the lady looks.
You have made a horrific error, for which you should turn beet red and apologize profusely.
The same logic applies here. This a sad excuse of an argument! Getting someone’s name wrong means Obama is a poor excuse of a human being? That’s disgusting talk is worst than passing this off as a “mistake”. Not to mention demanding the military to become disrespectful racists like here from the right. This is just a sad excuse to make Bush and Sarah seem more intelligent than they aren't and weren't.
This Obama defender says that Obama makes innocuous mistakes but Bush and Palin aren't intelligent. Like the typical political party cheerleader they still turn a blind eye after his first mistake of campaigning in 57 states and the long stream of them that have occurred any time he doesn't have a teleprompter in front of his face. Bush's opposition took every comment he made and tried to turn it into a flub.
Oh, and then they always have to find some little comment somewhere so they can play the "race" card.
The Bush defenders aren't any better with their constant attacks.
You know what is disgusting? It's the "them vs us" mentality of both parties. Both parties are tearing this country down. George Washington cautioned the country that political parties would destroy the country. It has brought the US to the same level of drunk rival sports team fans that cheer for their team to win while they never get a grass stain on their clothes, and riot when things don't go their way.
That is what is disgusting.
