When a man or woman goes to the store looking for ammo, other family members go as well, so there is spending on many different items other than ammo. When people read that there are secret meetings between the big box representatives and known anti-gun political elements, and then they hear that ammo orders have been put on hold, it gives them a bad taste in their mouth that may be hard to get out. It definitely did for me.
Americans used to have another place to buy inexpensive plinking ammo which was K-Mart. That was until fat boy Michael Moore walked into their corporate offices in an attempt to shame and intimidate them on camera into eliminating all ammo sales, which they did. Gun Shy does ZERO business with K-Mart to this day.

Let's do a little now and then 'reality' comparison shall we.
A soldier approaches the beaches of Normandy in a landing craft. They are taking heavy fire at 1200 rpm from multiple enemy pill boxes set on the high ground, so he goes over the side into the 45 degree water to avoid the funnel of fire being deliberately concentrated by German machine gunners at the exit, and because there are so many of his now dead companions in the way blocking the path to be able to get out before he gets hit as well. He finds himself in a stronger than usual tide wearing leather boots in wet heavy clothing carrying a canvas ruck and a 28 lb BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) with multiple rounds of ammo, as well as the rest of his kit. All this as some of his friends are drowning beside him because they are not strong enough swimmers make it against the strong choppy tides. By an act of God he makes it to the beach, only to find himself under more intense fire, and he can taste the blood in the air and the carnage and rivers of blood is overwhelming. At this point no one believes that they will get out of this alive, but courage overrides the human instinct of fear and they all forge on because this is the mighty generation of 'rough men'. In the end, there are many who are dead and wounded, and some of these men who made it, and others who did not are awarded the Bronze star for the courage exhibited under fire in combat against the enemy.

In comparison, let's now review our latest scenario. A person who is well trained in computers sits in a controlled sterile environment, and discharges ordnance into a target while watching a 'bug splat' on a screen from half way around the world. From the satellite image generated from a great distance above he can see that the target has been destroyed. He goes and has lunch with his co-workers, and then returns home in the evening to attend his child's soccer game. At some point he will receive a citation that is viewed as higher than the Bronze Star.
Not to take anything away from the contribution of these swivel chair warriors, and maybe this new breed of warriors from afar, have some similarities to their CIC as he was watching the Bin Laden raid from the situation room that he in the end took so much credit for.
Gun Shy has to wonder what is next? Will the people who are making these decisions go to the graves of the 9387 fallen in the cemetery at Normandy and urinate on them, and then hit the graves at Arlington, and for an encore hit the wall containing the 58,272 names of the fallen from Vietnam and then move on to insult those receiving the Bronze Star in the most current operations?
This is just another form of troop demoralization cast in the mold of the Bill Clinton influenced Black Beret decision from 1999.
In the end, these politicians and their lackeys who make these decisions get libraries, highways, and airports named after them, when it should be out houses.

...are out there selling PMAGS and Lancer Mags for $40.00 dollars up to $80.00+. Your companies are crap, and those of you are offering these pricey items that take advantage of the buyers panic that is currently going on are clearly selfish self centered money whores, a poor example of a true American, and are no better than the people who created this panic. People who do this during a perceived crisis are clearly showing themselves to be the users that they are. If you 'distributors' are buying either of these magazines from the manufacturer, your costs are pretty much the same for these mags that originally sold at $12-14+ dollars and $18-20+ dollars respectively, so you are just gouging the public. Gun Shy via email spoke with Jeremy Alcede, the good guy owner of the Tactical Firearms Range in Katy Texas. As suspected, CNN and Piers Morgan lied to the range owner, by assuring him that it was going to be a live show, and then instead they shot footage and edited the goodness of out it so that all of the range owners positive points ended up on the cutting room floor. When Jeremy viewed the show, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. By doing this type of deceptive reporting, it promotes CNN's BITTER GRABBERS point of view to the general public while eliminating any factual counter points in an attempt enlist the mis-informed viewers for the desperately needed support in their losing battle. Why Didn't Ted Ask Piers Why Anyone WITH HIM Needs an AR15...
...and plenty of 'high capacity' mags.
The first thing Ted should have said, when Piers asked "Why does anyone need an AR 15?", should have been, "I don't know Piers, why do those guys standing behind you performing close protection need them as their primary weapon, and sidearms with high capacity magazines as their secondary....huh?
The answer is, because that is what works best.
First watch the one sided debate where Piers gets hard core schooled by Uncle Ted.
Then go to this earlier commentary, and watch the video's of Piers close security team hired by CNN who are both equipped with AR's and plenty of high capacity magazines. In view of his stance on gun control, Piers is a hypocrite for allowing the team to protect him, and CNN who is pushing 24 hour anti gun agenda daily are hypocrites for hiring them, although Gun Shy is happy that the fellas could make a little extra CNN money. I hope they charged them appropriately. If Piers and his employers are truly anti-gun, then they need to start living the same way they expect the other half to live, no exceptions.

The readers probably remember Obama calling people who owned guns and had faith 'bitter clingers'. This is because the current administrations loves to demonize anyone who doesn't agree with them by labeling them with a negative connotation in order to polarize the issue. Well, Gun Shy believes that two can play this game, so from now on, those who seek to take away the second amendment rights of law abiding citizens, will from this day forward be referred to as 'BITTER GRABBERS'. This new label is based on the fact that before Feinstein's recent circus like gun control presentation, she trotted out a liberal progressive 'pastor' to try and make her case that God is on their side, while alluding that everyone who doesn't support this common sense proposal is an immoral, faithless person. She did this in a calculating premeditated fashion before her and her oath breaking lackeys attempted to help sell her draconian unconstitutional gun control package, so that all moral people of conscience would be intimated to get on board. Her plan failed miserably, because it only made people of faith angry at her blatant hypocrisy, much like Obama's skeet shooting stunt.

Michael Bloomberg: deferment (Vietnam)
Joe Biden: five time deferment (Vietnam)
Bill Clinton: deferment (Vietnam)
Everyone with a conscience should consider divesting any financial holdings in New York. If your bank is headquartered in New York City, change banks. If people have property there and are paying taxes, then they are paying the salaries of these petty tyrants. As a matter of fact, any business you do there contributes to their salaries through taxation. Don’t travel there and spend money, don’t work there and pay taxes, and if you have property there sell it. Maybe it is time for New Yorkers to consider moving to a free state now, and avoid the rush. I spoke with a firearms dealer from New York the other day, and he is closing up shop and moving to Texas. It is too bad that the wonderful people who live upstate are victims of these scoundrels, most who call New York City home.
