The first thing Ted should have said, when Piers asked "Why does anyone need an AR 15?",  should have been, "I don't know Piers, why do those guys standing behind you performing close protection need them as their primary weapon, and sidearms with high capacity magazines as their secondary....huh?

The answer is, because that is what works best.

In view of his stance on gun control, Piers is a hypocrite for allowing the team to protect him, and CNN who is pushing 24 hour anti gun agenda daily are hypocrites for hiring them, although Gun Shy is happy that the fellas could make a little extra CNN money. I hope they charged them appropriately. If Piers and his employers are truly anti-gun, then they need to start living the same way they expect the other half to live, no exceptions.

Piers Morgan and CNN Lied to the Range Owner as Well as Their Viewers???

Say it isn't so Piers.

Gun Shy via email spoke with Jeremy Alcede, the good guy owner of the Tactical Firearms Range in Katy Texas. As suspected, CNN and Piers Morgan lied to the range owner,  by assuring him that it was going to be a live show, and then instead they shot footage and edited the goodness of out it so that all of the range owners positive points ended up on the cutting room floor. When Jeremy viewed the show, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. By doing this type of deceptive reporting, it promotes CNN's  BITTER GRABBERS point of view to the general public while eliminating any factual counter points in an attempt enlist the mis-informed viewers for the desperately needed support in their losing battle. This is a clear form of lying by omission to everyone viewing the show as well. Click on the link below to watch an interview with the range owner. In lieu of all the deceptive editing in an attempt to frame the narrative, I guess it is now safe to refer to Piers Morgan as the Michael Moore of television reporting.

Was Alex Jones Too Much for Piers Morgan and the CNN Producers to Handle?

Typically, it is Piers Morgan who shouts down anyone who doesn't agree with his position, but the interview went sideways early on as Jones flipped the script and used Morgan's own tactics to use the CNN prime time platform as his very own bully pulpit. So in return, Piers Morgan and his producers threw Alex Jones off the show after the second segment, stopping him from debating gun lawyer Alan Dershowitz  in a third segment as promised by Morgan, and then Piers and Alan go on and attack  Jones who was not there to defend himself, in their feeble attempt to put "the toothpaste back into the tube" so to speak. Gun Shy agrees that Jones could have used  better tactics like Larry Pratt of GOA did, but Jones still managed to expose a few important facts none the less.

Piers Morgan Tonight, "Townhall" Discussion About Gun Control - Dec 19, 2012

In the video, Piers, the 'expert' states that an AR15 will fire 4-6 rounds per second. I would like to see Piers take an AR15 to the range, and demonstrate that on video for his viewers personally. Of course a true assault weapon will fire upwards of 900 rounds per minute, depending on weapon configuration and if there is a rate reduction buffer to control the speed in which BCG cycles. If the AR15 is such a 'devastating' rifle and a 'weapon of mass destruction', then please explain why seventy people were shot in Colorado, and only twelve were fatalities.  If you do the math, that is a kill ratio of only twenty percent. If the AR 15 is just as deadly as the select fire weapons in the military, then why isn't the military issued the AR15 rifle, which would save the government huge costs in reduced ammo usage? That's an easy one, because they are not the same, and those pushing gun control are being deliberately dishonest to the uninformed general public.

Gun Shy finds it totally ironic, that CNN and Morgan, which are vehemently anti gun have hired armed private security with plenty of 'high capacity' mags in a chest rig, a sidearm with a 'high capacity' magazine in a drop leg holster, and some of the evil AR 15's (they may even be select fire) to do a close security detail for Morgan while he is in town. Don't believe me? Watch this short clip, and listen to whom the young private security contractor says he is working for.

Then watch this clip and notice the positioning of the same young man.

I find it amusing that the people who state that these weapons of war have no place on America's streets, and asks why anyone would need one, find them perfectly okay when they are being used for protecting them and their interests. If restricting gun rights is what they truly believe, then why isn't their security armed with a single shot pistol, and following Joe Biden's genius advice of using the more effective double barreled shotgun for Pier's personal protection?

The Brits Want Their Handguns Back

Of course they do. The British soldier who was recently beheaded in South London demonstrated to them that the police can not keep them safe. The Brits are intelligent logical people (with the exception of Piers Morgan) and they are excellent soldiers as well. As a matter of fact, America's SFOD-D (Delta force) was modeled after the British SAS. While some states in America such as New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, etc. are making the same mistake that Britain made allowing the politicians to disarm it's law abiding citizens, the Brits want to turn that law over, and get their pistols back.

The only thing that the commenter failed to cite while demonstrating that Morgan is a factually inept buffoon, was the percentage of murders done by gang members on other gang members, or innocent citizens during a criminal act.
