Good Becomes Bad and Bad Becomes Good

Cop Who Shot Suspects May Have Track Record

quote:
An Eyewitness News investigation found an Orange County deputy, who shot three suspects, regularly does all he can to make sure suspects are caught; no matter the cost.

The news reports that like it is a bad thing. I am curious why the news didn't discuss the "track record" of the suspects, which was described as this in an earlier report:

Green and his passengers, 24-year-old Samuel Jones III and 21-year-old Robert Lewis have relatively minor criminal records.FDLE officers said they found a small amount of drugs in the vehicle, but they do not know why Green took off.

Rick's shots hit driver, Cier Green, injuring him and his two passengers, who are accused of trying to ram the deputy after he tried to pull them over.

This was from an earlier report found here.

Deputy Robert Ricks said the driver, Cier Green, tried to run him down a second time on Columbia Street. Green drove his Jeep into a field, but there's no other way out so he turned around. Deputy Ricks said Green was headed right for him, so he opened fire 10 times.

The question is, did they try to run the officer down, and if they did, then he used reasonable force to stop the attempted vehicular assault that the assailants were waging against him.
