A Young Man Stands His Ground to Defend His Family

Those Aren't Breast Enhancements...They're Bombs...RUN!
Terrorists 'plan attack on Britain with bombs INSIDE their bodies' to foil new airport scanners
quote:
A leading source added that male bombers would have the explosive secreted near their appendix or in their buttocks, while females would have the material placed inside their breasts in the same way as figure-enhancing implants.
Experts said the explosive PETN (Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate) would be placed in a plastic sachet inside the bomber’s body before the wound was stitched up like a normal operation incision and allowed to heal.
A shaped charge of 8oz of PETN can penetrate five inches of armour and would easily blow a large hole in an airliner.
Security sources said the explosives would be detonated by the bomber using a hypodermic syringe to inject TATP (Triacetone Triperoxide) through their skin into the explosives sachet.

You'll love it, and you will surely respect the way Uncle J rolls.

Police: TSA Employee Solicits Girl As Sex Slave - MySpace Page Describes Man As 'BDSM Master'
quote:
Charles Henry Bennet, 57, of Winter Garden, was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and conduct with a minor under the age of 17. Bennett is an employee of the Transportation Security Administration at the Orlando International Airport.
Police said that the victim made a written disclosure about the incident on Jan. 24. The incident happened when she was 12 years old. The girl is now 15 years old...
...Bennett''s MySpace page lists his name as "Master Charles" or "Sir." He also calls himself a "Master" of BDSM -- which stands for bondage, dominance, sadism and masochism. The page also described him as a swinger who wants to meet "submissive females."
Maybe the TSA should work on a system that profiles it's own employees for the safety of the traveling population.

Uncle J poses the question on FOX news. You can view the excellent interview here.
Didn't he Say That he Taught Constitutional Law?
Glad that I didn't take that class. As we know Mr Obama has on occasion referred to himself as "a constitutional law professor." His quote that got the most media attention was at a March 30, 2007, fundraiser when he said, "I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution." Oh really??

Traveler says laptop stolen, TSA wand left in bag
quote:
A tourist from Spain traveling through Orlando International Airport says his laptop was stolen after he went though security. The man says when he got to his destination he opened his laptop bag and found a TSA wand inside his bag but no laptop.
According to an Orlando Police Department report, on January 6 the tourist called OPD to report that his $2,500 laptop was missing from his bag and inside the bag was a long, black, spoon like grasping apparatus device with a Transportation Security Administration logo on it. The report says the device is a wand used by TSA to detect trace explosive elements in luggage.

As you can see, when the lawyers get involved where there are enemy combatants, it creates a political climate where Navy SEALS end up on trial for punching a prisoner that killed four Americans, the panty bomber gets a free lawyer and no interrogation, and the 911 terrorist mastermind gets a trial in New York City funded by American taxpayer dollars. Maybe ol' Shakespeare really was onto something.

Ex-federal prosecutor launches probe of Holder

'It is time, before lasting damage is done to our national security'
You can read the complete article here.
quote:
"The attorney general's refusal to prosecute admitted terrorists, like the Christmas Day bomber and the infamous Khalid Sheikh Mohammad (KSM), as so-called 'enemy combatants' has resulted in the hindrance of national security and law enforcement agencies," he said in a prepared statement. "This refusal by Holder not only resulted in Miranda rights being read to the Christmas Day bomber – preventing the FBI and other agencies from obtaining meaningful intelligence from him when his lawyer stopped the interrogation – but with regard to KSM, has also jeopardized the safety of New York City residents, due to the insistence of investigating an act of terror as if it were a common crime."
Klayman, whose new book "Whores: Why and How I Came to Fight the Establishment" is an exposé about corruption, abuse and lapsed ethics in the U.S. government, judiciary and media, said Holder's actions make New York, already attacked twice by terrorists, "a major target" for al-Qaida.

...Forrest said the .223-caliber assault rifle that Woodson was carrying had a defaced serial number and had been altered to fire .50-caliber ammunition.
Detectives later searched the room where Woodson had been staying at the Red Mill Inn in Branchburg. Forrest said they seized another Bushmaster .308-caliber semiautomatic rifle with a defaced serial number, a 37 mm Cobray grenade launcher, a second bulletproof vest, a Russian-made night vision scope, a police scanner, a map of a U.S. military installation and a map of an out-of-state civilian community, a Middle Eastern red and white colored traditional headdress and hundreds of rounds of .50-caliber and .308-caliber ammunition...

Taxed Enough Already?
Sent to me by a reader:
The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of it's releases.
A.
A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B.
A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C.
A billion hours ago our ancestors were Living in the Stone Age.
D.
A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E.
A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, At the rate our government Is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
Let's take a look at New Orleans. It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division.
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D) Is presently asking Congress for 250 BILLION DOLLARS to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number... What does it mean?
A.
Well . If you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, and child) You each get $516,528.
B.
Or... If you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C.
Or... If you are a family of four... Your family gets $2,066,012.

Florida Economy Spiraling Down the Tubes
Florida business owners in for surprise
quote:
Florida employers already have a lot to worry about in 2010 — a sluggish economic recovery first and foremost. Now, add to that an unemployment compensation tax rate hike that, in its worst case, could increase their minimum payment by more than 1,000 percent, from $8.40 per employee to $100.30 per employee...
...Florida has been borrowing money from the federal government to pay out benefits since its trust fund ran out for the first time ever in August. The state borrows roughly $300 million per month and has an outstanding advance balance of about $1 billion as of January, according to the Florida Chamber.
But, Florida isn’t as far into the hole as other states, Daniel said. A total of 25 states are borrowing from the federal government to pay for benefits, and the number is expected to increase to 40 states by mid-2010. A handful of other states owe more than Florida, including California, which owed about $5 billion, and New York, which owed $1.6 billion, as of December. Both of those states’ debts also rose in January.

Could America End Up Like Haiti?
America is More Like Haiti than We'd Like to Think
Gun Shy has been in areas where a state of emergency was declared. You get to see the best and worst of people when you find yourself in these types of situations. The kingdom of self is very ugly to behold, and America has its fair share of it.

Why We are Referred to as "The Ugly Americans"
Cruise ships still find a Haitian berth - Luxury liners are still docking at private beaches near Haiti's devastated earthquake zone for holidaymakers to enjoy the water
quote:
Sixty miles from Haiti's devastated earthquake zone, luxury liners dock at private beaches where passengers enjoy jetski rides, parasailing and rum cocktails delivered to their hammocks.
The 4,370-berth Independence of the Seas, owned by Royal Caribbean International, disembarked at the heavily guarded resort of Labadee on the north coast on Friday; a second cruise ship, the 3,100-passenger Navigator of the Seas is due to dock.
The Florida cruise company leases a picturesque wooded peninsula and its five pristine beaches from the government for passengers to "cut loose" with watersports, barbecues, and shopping for trinkets at a craft market before returning on board before dusk. Safety is guaranteed by armed guards at the gate.

The Kind of Multi Culturalism America Can Do Without
quote:
Mobile water stations were mobbed by crowds who have lived without basic sanitation for nearly a week. By text message and word of mouth, reports spread of a woman decapitated for whatever she had been carrying near one of the few functioning markets. Police shot and killed a man suspected of looting. Where police failed to intervene, crowds resorted to lynching, leaving fresh bodies on streets just cleared of those left by the earthquake.
Click here for the full article. The problem with countries where the rule of law is weak, and corruption and crime is the norm, is that people get used to doing business that way. When they leave to go to another country, many of them retain their old ways and export it to their new country. In defense of the good and decent people from Haiti, when they arrive in the U.S. they are so happy to be here that they do work hard and try to do what is right.

More on Haiti that you haven't read in our media here.
Gun Shy wonders if they will be sending their zombies as well:
Haiti's voodoo priests object to mass burials
quote:
Dumping the dead in hurriedly excavated mass graves without proper rites is seen as desecration in a country where many believe in zombies -- dead bodies brought back to life by supernatural forces who could persecute the living.
Gun Shy remembers working in New York, and talking to a Law Enforcement officer about how they had to have security in graveyards there because some people from the Caribbean who had migrated to the U.S. were stealing skulls from graves to use in voodoo and other occultic rituals.
Here and here you will find some more reading that might be of interest.

Orlando "Homie" Shuts Down JFK Airport in NYC
JFK Terminal Evacuated After Security Breach
quote:
The security breach apparently involved a passenger who arrived on a flight from Orlando, Fla., and, while exiting Kennedy's Terminal 8, opened a door that was supposed to be used only by airport workers.
and this:
TSA released a statement on the incident:
"At approximately 3:30 pm EST at John F. Kennedy International Airport, an individual entered the sterile area in Terminal 8 through a non-public, employee door used by airlines. TSA is working closely with the Port Authority to find the individual. The terminal is being evacuated in order to rescreen all passengers to ensure the safety of the traveling public."
Hey...Gun Shy has a suggestion for the security geniuses at JFK. Set up the "employee only" door with a card reader or a fob, and then no one who is not authorized will be able to accidentally or intentionally for that matter walk through it and shut down the terminal.
Some additional reading on another TSA fopa here.

Angry Haitians block roads with corpses: witness - PORT-AU-PRINCE (Reuters) - Angry Haitians set up roadblocks with corpses in Port-au-Prince to protest at the delay in emergency aid reaching them after a devastating earthquake, an eyewitness said,

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The American Red Cross says a plan to bring 45,000 evacuees from Haiti to Florida, and 4,000 of those to Orange County, is not set in stone. The Red Cross clarified Friday who could be involved in a plan to move people out of Haiti.
The Red Cross is preparing for two things: the repatriation of Americans living in Haiti and the possibility of a mass migration of Haitian nationals.

Al Qaeda Reaches Out to Women - Zawahiri's Wife Releases Statement, Tells Women They Can Be Suicide Bombers
quote:
"Jihad is an obligation for every man and woman," wrote Hassan, "but the way of fighting is not easy for women."
"Our main role -- that I ask God to accept from us -- is to preserve the mujahideen in their sons, and homes, and their confidentiality, and to help them raise/develop their children in the best way."
But Hassan also suggests that women can become suicide bombers, which she refers to as "martyrdom missions."
I am curious what they get as a reward when they die as a martyr?

Top Obama czar: Infiltrate all 'conspiracy theorists' - Presidential adviser wrote about crackdown on expressing opinions
quote:
In a lengthy academic paper, President Obama's regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein, argued the U.S. government should ban "conspiracy theorizing."
Among the beliefs Sunstein would ban is advocating that the theory of global warming is a deliberate fraud.
Sunstein also recommended the government send agents to infiltrate "extremists who supply conspiracy theories" to disrupt the efforts of the "extremists" to propagate their theories.
In a 2008 Harvard law paper, "Conspiracy Theories," Sunstein and co-author Adrian Vermeule, a Harvard law professor, ask, "What can government do about conspiracy theories?"

Body scanners can store, send images, group says
quote:
Washington (CNN) -- A privacy group says the Transportation Security Administration is misleading the public with claims that full-body scanners at airports cannot store or send their graphic images.
The TSA specified in 2008 documents that the machines must have image storage and sending abilities, the Washington-based Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) said.
In the documents, obtained by the privacy group and provided to CNN, the TSA specifies that the body scanners it purchases must have the ability to store and send images when in "test mode."
That requirement leaves open the possibility the machines -- which can see beneath people's clothing -- can be abused by TSA insiders and hacked by outsiders, said EPIC Executive Director Marc Rotenberg.
Gun Shy thinks that if these scanners are ok as the leaders have stated, then our leaders should lead by example, and be the first to go through them. The outcome would probably be that the scans would show that they don't have any testicles as we have suspected all along.

More Homeland Insecurity Antics
This time they bit off more than they can chew:
Seattle customs officials defend decision to handcuff Michael Yon for refusing to disclose income
quote:
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport officials recently interrogated and handcuffed Army Green Beret-turned-reporter Michael Yon because he refused to tell them how much money he makes.
What makes for a good special operator is their ability to use their best weapon, which is their brain. Michael Yon had the ability to physically ruin their day when they started man handling him, but instead he did some fast thinking and ended up with a first person scoop that will get incredible mileage in the media. I am sure by this time that those responsible now realize that they screwed up royally. That is what happens when you pit a bunch of checker players against a well trained chess player.

Just Because Your Complex Appears Safe it Doesn't Mean That it Is...
Another lesson in security theater:
Armed Home Invaders Duct Tape, Rob Two UCF Students
quote:
Residents of the Sun Key apartments say they've never heard of violence like the Sunday night home invasion that prompted heavier than usual security Monday. “Is security here pretty tight?” Barrett asked. “Yeah, there's a couple of sheriff's living here, too. There is always security and sheriff's running around, so I'm real surprised because of that too,” Faix said.
This is what is known as security theater, and these off duty law enforcement officers are known as courtesy officers. The complex allows these officers to have reduced rent, knowing that if prospective tenants see the patrol cars there, they will feel that the place is safe. This way, the complex does not have to pay for real security which is far more expensive. Many of the officers who live there are young and new to the force, meaning that they are usually working nights away from the complex when the crimes are occurring. College student are a prime target, because they have nice stuff and are somewhat naive. There is a slim chance that they are armed, unless they are former military going to school on the veterans administration program.

ATTENTION READERS: THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
A link was sent to me by a reader in the comments section of an earlier commentary. The reader, who is possibly a former or current SEAL directed me to this website which I believe should be mandatory reading for everyone. This site lays out the full details behind the situation of how the SEALs, who are one trial for punching a terrorist came about, which is a travesty as well as an embarrassment to our nation and an attack on the Special Operations community and our military as a whole. Since a large slice of my readership is former and current military, I know you can appreciate what these warriors are going through after putting their lives on the line to protect our country. Please consider donating money or purchasing merchandise from the site in order to support the defense of these brave men who are being railroaded to advance some prosecutor's political career.

Second, Gore gets some Hollywood types to fund and produce a movie designed to scare the c-c-carbon out of the population
Third, Gore travels the world promoting this movie, while pushing the view that a cataclysm is imminent if the world doesn't immediately act
Fourth, an adoring media falls for the con hook, line, and sinker. Rather than debunking the flaws in the theories, the media promote every word of it while advancing the concept that Gore's views represent those of an overwhelming majority of scientists
Fifth, scared governments and citizens across the globe invest in alternative energy programs driving up the shares of companies Gore's group has already invested in
Sixth, Gore and his cronies make billions as they laugh all the way to the bank at the stupidity of their fellow citizens

Abed is the suspected mastermind of a 2004 ambush that killed four Blackwater security contractors – including a former SEAL – in Fallujah, Iraq.
The SEAL mentioned in the quote above was Scott Helvenston who I wrote about here. Please watch the videos, so that you can see the family man as well as the fierce competitor who was brutally murdered, burned, and then hung from a bridge by this poor misunderstood terrorist who was only given a fat lip by the SEALS who captured him, and now THEY are on trial.

The "Details" of the Foul Ups
Obama releasing details of airline terror foul-ups
quote:
No firings over the December security debacle are expected—for now, at least.
If Mr Obama had a huge truth meter strapped on during the interview so that he couldn't use teleprompter flowery speech, his "details" might go something like this:
Hey...uh...uh...I am just an inexperienced...uh... empty suit who likes to go on vacations while the country is sliding into the pit...and uh...uh...I have appointed people to positions that are uh....uh...WAY over their head as ...uh...uh...far as their ability and uh...qualifications goes...uh.

This Makes Me Sad
Fla. Soldier Accidentally Kills Self With Gun
quote:
Sheriff's investigators say a Panhandle Army paratrooper on leave from Iraq accidentally shot and killed himself while showing his family his new handgun. Army Specialist Andrew Steven Faulkner, 21, died Friday in Crestview. Investigators say he was showing his mother, aunt, young cousin and others a Glock .40 caliber handgun when he accidentally fired it into his chest while trying to remove the magazine from the weapon. Faulkner had been on leave since November following a yearlong deployment with the Army's 82nd Airborne Division to Iraq.
This makes me very sad. This young man made it through jump school and was deployed to Iraq. He made it back home for some well deserved R&R with his family, and did as many do with the money they saved while deployed...they buy a new pistol or weapon of some kind. Not too long ago I was at the range with a young man who had just returned from Iraq, and he had purchased a new firearm and a pile of ammo. He was excited to show it to us, and we all took turns doing a little test and evaluation. Sadly, this reminds me of the excitement he had, and how terribly wrong it went for this other young man. Once again I am terribly sad to read this.

Stimulus to bring body scanners to airports
quote:
The U.S. government is using $25 million in stimulus money to buy and install full body scanners in airports this year, in an effort to ramp up security and create jobs. The Transportation Security Administration is using funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to purchase 150 of the full body scanners, according to TSA spokeswoman Sarah Horowitz.
Gun Shy has a better idea. Why not use that stimulus money to dismantle the TSA and build a real security division?

Are You Sure It's Not Grandma????
Study: US Terror Suspects Mostly Young Men
quote:
A new study on homegrown terror found that most American Muslims who planned violent attacks in since 2001 were young, male U.S. citizens who became radical as part of a group.
...Experts from Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill tallied homegrown terror cases since the Sept. 11 attacks and found 139 American Muslims had been publicly accused of planning or carrying out violence motivated by extremism.
All but one of the suspects were male and most were under age 30.
You don't say...all you TSA knuckle heads owe every grandma you harassed that were good law abiding Americans a serious apology. Now cut it out and start profiling.

Panty Bombers OK...Good Americans Bad...
That appears to be the opinion of the TSA these days. Here is their latest.
quote:
Award winning war correspondent Michael Yon was detained and handcuffed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Yesterday by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel...
...At this point the TSA officials escorted Yon to a designated screening area where they examined the contents of his bag. “Then they asked me how much money I make,” Yon said. Yon suggested to the TSA officials that the question was inappropriate and unrelated to transportation security. The award-winning blogger noted another TSA officer approached Yon: “he asked who do I work for.” ”I did not answer the question which clearly was upsetting to the TSA officers.”
...n January of 2009, Yon’s article “Border Bullies” detailed a Homeland Security officer coercing a friend to give up her e-mail password so that he could read private email correspondences between her and Yon.
Regarding the incident in Seattle, Yon was adamant the TSA agents had overstepped their bounds: “If I am the guy on that passport and I don’t have any contraband in my luggage, it is a matter for the FBI, not the TSA.”
“TSA people are out of control,” he said. “They are not doing their jobs, they are harassing people, creating animosity. They ask you ‘what time is your connective flight?’ and they bully you until you miss the flight.”
So it appears that the TSA IS profiling...anyone who questions their harassment of American travelers. The readers might also remember this incident. Maybe they should focus more on keeping their equipment working instead.

Obviously....nobody:
One-third of all terrorist plots since 9/11 transpired in 2009
quote:
But more than one-third of all terrorist plots since 9/11 transpired in 2009 — despite loud chest-thumping about rejecting the idea of a war on terror, reaching out to the Muslim world, and apologizing for purported American sins. A non-impoverished Major Hasan or Mr. Mutallab (or Mr. Atta or KSM) does not fit with the notion that our enemies act out of poverty or oppression or want.
As I have stated before, radical Islam respects strength and abhors weakness.

While Mr Obama Was Enjoying His SECOND Hawaiian Vacation of the Year....
...people in the real post stimulus world aren't doing so well.
Man, 90, Suffering Through Freeze With No Heat
Hey Mr Obama...power to the people...right?
I remember hearing stories told by people from the former soviet union, of waiting on long bread lines while the politicians were shopping in special stores that were open only to the chosen, where they could get champagne, caviar and imported foods. That story reminds me of the new health care program where the chosen get a different much better program than the common people.
Gun Shy is still wondering how all that hope and change is working out for the little people.

Reading Between the Lines
More suspected terrorists moved to watch lists
Let' examine what the article may really be saying:
Counter terrorism officials have moved the names of dozens of people onto the terror watch list and the no-fly list after reviewing a massive government database of suspected terrorists.
Okay...so they moved dozens.
An intelligence official says the government scrubbed thousands of names in its database after an attempted bombing aboard a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day. Officials focused on people from countries with ties to terrorism.
Ok...so they moved dozens and scrubbed thousands, and now they are "focusing on people from countries with ties to terrorism."
So who were the thousands that they scrubbed? Were they possibly the thousands of American potential right wing extremists that were originally being focused on by Janet N and company?.

Prisoners used to shovel snow-bound US capital

And here is the best one:

The above headline was from Copenhagen during the climate meetings, where slimy world leaders gathered to try and figure out a way to get people to buy into the global warming myth while picking their pockets. It didn't work. The only people who believe Al Gore now are the ones who are still drinking the kool-aid.

Three Things to Ponder...
Sent by a reader:
Think about these for starters:
1. Cows
2. The Constitution
3. The Ten Commandments
COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.
THE CONSTITUTION
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq ... Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.
THE 10 COMMANDMENTS
The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse or Congress is this --you cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians .... it creates a hostile work environment.

Foreign Gov'ts Donate Millions to Clinton Foundation
It is so good to see a philander...uh I mean philanthropist using his and his wife's political influence to help collect large sums of nontaxable money to support the good causes of their choosing. Maybe he will fund a branch that helps lonely young Washington interns find love and acceptance in the D.C. political jungle before they end up getting used by tired old men.
Foreign govt's among Clinton donors
quote:
Bill Clinton joined Giustra on a 2005 trip to Kazakhstan; within days after the pair met with Kazakhstan's president, Giustra's business lined up preliminary deals giving it rights to buy into uranium projects controlled by a Kazakhstan state-owned enterprise. Bill Clinton has said he had nothing to do with that.

So Much For the "magic" Scanners
Are planned airport scanners just a scam?
quote:
The explosive device smuggled in the clothing of the Detroit bomb suspect would not have been detected by body-scanners set to be introduced in British airports, an expert on the technology warned last night...
...And experts in the US said airport "pat-downs" – a method used in hundreds of airports worldwide – were ineffective and would not have stopped the suspect boarding the plane...
...Since the attack was foiled, body-scanners, using "millimetre-wave" technology and revealing a naked image of a passenger, have been touted as a solution to the problem of detecting explosive devices that are not picked up by traditional metal detectors – such as those containing liquids, chemicals or plastic explosive.
...Tests by scientists in the team at Qinetiq, which Mr Wallace advised before he became an MP in 2005, showed the millimetre-wave scanners picked up shrapnel and heavy wax and metal, but plastic, chemicals and liquids were missed. If a material is low density, such as powder, liquid or thin plastic – as well as the passenger's clothing – the millimetre waves pass through and the object is not shown on screen...
...Mr Wallace said: "Gordon Brown is grasping at headlines if he thinks buying a couple of scanners will make us safer. It is too little, too late. Under his leadership, he starved the defence research budget that could have funded a comprehensive solution while at the same time he has weakened our border security.
Sound familiar America? It is all nothing more than security theater. He then goes on to say:
"Scanners cannot provide a comprehensive solution on their own. We must now start to ask if national security demands the use of profiling."
So the lesson here for Janet N and company (TSA), is when in doubt, defer to the experts.
Gun Shy is all for those new "magical nudie scanners"....then we can have all the leaders of this administration walk through them to verify if they actually have a brain (might need to increase the radiation level a bit), and also so America can see what pathetic weak individuals these people really are once their power suits are electronically removed.

I Would Like to be a Brain Surgeon...

Democrats Join Calls for Napolitano to Step Down Following Failed Attack
quote:
New Jersey State Senate President Richard Codey, a Democrat, wrote a letter to Napolitano this week calling on her to step down. He said Napolitano, an attorney and former Arizona governor, does not have the experience for the post she is in. "We should have someone who doesn't need to go in there and learn about terrorism, learn about security," Codey told Fox News. "How close were these 300 people on this plane from losing their lives because homeland security broke down? Boy, it was really close."
And that is exactly my point. Janet doesn't have the skill set to be insuring the safety of the "patient", which is the American people. Click here to inject a little bit of humor into the situation while pondering just how ridiculous this appointment really was.

Delta CEO peeved about Christmas incident
quote:
NEW YORK (CNN) -- The head of Delta Air Lines says he is disappointed that a suspected terrorist was able to bring explosives on board a Christmas Day flight despite the company's efforts to follow federal safety regulations. "The work that we've done over the last decade really ought to give us a better result than the peril that our crews and passengers faced on Christmas," Delta (DAL, Fortune 500) CEO Richard Anderson said Thursday in a recorded message to employees.
News flash Dick. The dog and pony show that you have spent millions of dollars implementing is just security theater. If you desire a different outcome, then hire trained professionals to secure your planes.
quote:
Anderson added that the company has followed all guidelines set by the government since the 1996 mid-air explosion of TWA Flight 800 -- which killed all 230 people aboard -- and the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. He pledged that the airline would continue to work with the federal Transportation Security Administration to quickly implement new security measures promptly.
And that is the problem Dick. You have been following the federal guidelines which are nothing more than security theater, and now you are going to trust them once again to keep your passengers and crew safe. I personally believe that this is a move to release your airline from lawsuits and liability in the event that an incident does occur. Please refer to the title of this commentary for any further opinion.
