Man Beaten, Shot In Altamonte Springs Home

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A man is in critical condition Wednesday morning, after police say intruders barged into his Altamonte Springs apartment, beat him and then shot him in the head.
The violent incident happened shortly before 11:00pm Tuesday night at the Douglaston Apartments Villas & Townhomes II, along Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs. Police say this is a traditionally quiet neighborhood that is not prone to violent crime.
There is no rhyme or reason to what thugs do. Be ready and aware at all times. Secure you entrance so that it takes time for them to get in, so that you can have a special surprise waiting for them.
