Big Brother is Alive and Well

Apple, Google Collect User Data

quote:

Apple Inc.'s iPhones and Google Inc.'s Android smartphones regularly transmit their locations back to Apple and Google, respectively, according to data and documents analyzed by The Wall Street Journal—intensifying concerns over privacy and the widening trade in personal data.

What we need now is a huge class action suit. When one uses free services, you expect them to try and sell something, but when you pay for a phone and they gather data without your knowledge that can and most likely will be sold at a later date, that is a premeditated invasion of privacy in my opinion.
