More on the Florida Pastors Protest in Dearborn

Once again, I do not agree with this guys approach, but if radical Muslims can do this which is extremely offensive to me, and to my family members who have shed blood to protect this nation because it is protected free speech, then I should support the pastors right to also protest as an American whether it offends anyone or not. Click here to watch the video, and to watch the 'reverend' Jesse Jackson's expert opinion on Mr Jones beliefs.

I find it interesting that the ‘reverend’ Jessie Jackson, who has proclaimed himself as the spokesman for Christianity, would say that Mr Jones does not represent Christianity based on his Quran burning actions, when in fact, the New Testament or Christian Bible talks specifically of this action by believers pertaining to religious books that were not Christian in nature.

Acts 19
18 Also many of those who were now believers came, confessing and divulging their practices.
19 And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Since the Quran teaches that Jesus was only a prophet, not a savior, not the son of God, that he did not die on the cross, and it also belittles Christians and also Jews, you could see how Mr Jones might be inclined to believe that the Quran was not a book that speaks favorably to the Christian position.

So less politics Jesse, and more study about your proclaimed faith might be in order. Maybe you and mr Obama could do a study group together to get up to speed on what the faith that you both proclaim as your own actually teaches.
