Gun Just Had to Comment
Gun posted a comment over at the Bloomberg news site found here.
Below is what I wrote. I am curious if they will publish it. The readers should feel free to go there and make your own comments as well.
If guns are so evil and dangerous, then why does the owner of this newspaper request special privileges from the Island of Bermuda, so that his armed guards can carry firearms there in order to protect him. Seems kind of hypocritical, doesn't it?
Here is a quote from an article:
"The mayor also takes along a police detail when he travels, flying two officers on his private plane and paying as much as $400 a night to put them up at a hotel near his house; the city pays their wages while they are there, as it does whether Mr. Bloomberg is New York or not. Guns are largely forbidden in Bermuda — even most police officers do not use them — but the mayor’s guards have special permission to carry weapons. Gun Shy Loves His Hispanic Friends
I know...some of the readers are probably scratching your heads. You are probably thinking that since ol' Gun sometimes bitches about illegal immigration, that I somehow have it out for all Hispanics. That is in fact, very far from the truth, with the key word to focus on here being illegal. Gun has absolutely no problem with the people who come to America legally in search of the American dream, who work hard, abide by the law, and raise their kids to be good Americans. It is a fact that many of the Hispanic immigrants who come to America, end up serving in our military with honor and distinction, and many of them I have known personally are some serious bad ass hombres. The problem is not with these people of high character who want to be part of the greatness that is America. The problem is with drug dealing narco terrorist type criminals who are wreaking havoc on innocent Americans, many of them who are of Hispanic heritage as well.
Anyhow, Gun has many Hispanic friends from all over the globe. They are from places like Honduras, Argentina, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Chile, Peru, Mexico, and Cuba to name a few. Many of them came to America, and learned English by watching television while working a couple of jobs in order to get established. They are amazing human beings, and people like these end up being part of the strong fabric that is America.
The one thing that I admire about my Hispanic friends who own restaurants (which Gun Shy often frequents), is that they never forgot how hard it was for them when they first came to America, and so they hire people who have just come to America to help them get established and learn the language while treating them very well.
Yes, Gun Shy loves his Hispanic friends, and salutes them for their strong work ethic and sense of family, and for contributing to the great nation that we are all fortunate to be a part of.

What has given me the incentive to hang on, is the fact that Eric Holder may be found complicit in the Gunrunner scandal, and may be dismissed or even better yet indited, and I really want to report on that. And who knows, the investigation may go far enough upstream, and we may even find out that Obie not only knew, but approved of the gunrunner operation as well, and was hoping to use the violence that it created in Mexico as a reason to implement more gun control in America.

This is not to say that all of Orlando is bad, but there is spillover into the tourist areas, and while the mayor is having people arrested for feeding the homeless in the worst economy ever, there are other problems that are a little more serious.

Some States Are More 'Independent' Than Others Today
Last night I enjoyed a fireworks display compliments of my neighbors. They must have spent a small fortune on fireworks, but it was a pleasant experience for all in the area. People sat outside and watched the myriad of different colors and enjoyed the show. This is because we live in Florida, a state, that for the most part is quite free and actually trusts it citizens to make good decisions when it comes to the use of fireworks as well as firearms. Contrary to the fear mongering of those who want total control in other parts of the country, there was no mayhem and the streets did not run red with blood. In other words, a good time was had by all with no drama. Now conversely, lets examine what is going on in the North, with an eye specifically on New York City by clicking here.
Yes, New York's mayor Bloomberg doesn't want to give New Yorkers the chance to act responsibly, because he knows what is best for them, not only with firearms, but also with fireworks. I wonder if there is a phobia name for those who are afraid of gun powder? Maybe he will try to head up a new group in the future called MAIF. (Mayors Against Illegal Fireworks) for his next traveling circus side show . MAIG (Mayors Against Illegal Guns) came to Orlando to try and rally support, but no one cared about Bloomberg's crusade against guns here in Florida except for a few Democratic politicians. The event on Wednesday was sparsely attended, with organizers handing out t-shirts and collecting signatures for a petition in support of the Fix Gun Checks Act, recently introduced in the U.S. Senate.

Young Guy 'Mans Up' to Negligent Discharge...
...I say 'mans up' because he didn't go on and on about the failure of the holster or the firearm. Instead he blamed himself fully. This error could have happened to anyone. The fact that this young man has the guts to post this video, says a lot about his character, as well as his concern for the well being of others. Enjoying My Independence Weekend
I went to train today with some of my associates. As I was shooting weapons that people in Massachusetts, California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and some other states would not be allowed to possess, a realization came upon me. Different parts of our nation are more 'independent' than others. How can this be you ask? Here is my take on the situation. The federal government only gets involved when it fits the narrative of the people in charge at the time. Here is an example. When the assault weapons ban was enacted by Bill 'the shill' Clinton, it was a federal law that all states had to comply with. It did absolutely nothing to lower crime, but it made the gun grabbers ecstatic. When the bill expired, you would think that all states would go back to the way that it was before the ban wouldn't you? The answer to that is no, because after all, there are states rights....unless of course when you want to have your own immigration laws, and then the feds will step in to stop you. You see, the feds only step in when it fits the narrative. Since the current group in Washington like the gun grabbers and restricting second amendment rights, there is no way in hell that they are going to tell the gun anal states such as New York and California, that their citizens need to have their rights restored to what they were before the assault weapons ban because gun control s a vital part of the narrative. After the cluster that is the gunwalker scandal, you would think that the powers to be would be abhorred that the ATF was allowing guns to walk into the hands of violent narco terrorists, and that there would be a major outcry by politicians as well as the media, but instead the solution is to talk about more gun control, and giving the ATF yet more power. Why you ask? Because it doesn't fit the narrative of the agenda, which is gun control.

I watched the 1981 sci fi classic Escape From New York today. It is a surreal look into the future from a 1980’s perspective, where New York City becomes a maximum security prison due to the exponentially rising crime rates, and all bridges from the city are armed with mines so that the criminals can not escape.
Well, with all of the mobs and gangs of all nationalities as well as young thugs and flash mobs, pimps and drug dealers, foreign terrorists who seek our destruction living there, coupled with all of the criminal white collar crooks and the criminal politicians who have broken their oath and disarmed the citizens and denied them their constitutional rights, in reality New York city may be well on it’s way to film director John Carpenter’s vision. Isn’t it funny how life imitates art sometimes? Maybe it is time to let the remaining good people who are trapped there leave, and then close down the bridges.

The last time he opened his fat yap, he appealed to his followers to run pedestrians down with their vehicles, and then there were a spate of incidents where this happened. Many of the doormat Christians and liberal Jews may not heed this warning, but there are plenty of Christians and Jews who actually understand what their religious books say about self defense, and will act accordingly if attacked.

The implication made by the ATF and various press reports that 70 percent of the firearms found in Mexico come directly from U.S. manufacturers or U.S. Federal Firearms Licensees selling guns to drug trafficking organizations is incomplete and misleading. Not only does this paint a grossly inaccurate picture of the situation, but there’s also evidence that the U.S. State Department doesn’t believe it either.
I received additional documentation from an ATF database of firearms, and learned that the actual percentage of firearms found in Mexico and traced back to U.S. based federal firearms licensees in 2009 and 2010 was only 24 percent. It turns out the discrepancy lies in the fact that most of the firearms found in Mexico may actually have been sold between governments in direct military to military transactions or were exported directly from manufacturers approved by our government. In either case, U.S. gun dealers are the last people who should be blamed.
And, to make the release of the misleading numbers even more egregious, I obtained an unclassified U.S. State Department cable that dispels myths about the source of weapons trafficked to Mexico. The unclassified cable includes sections such as: “Myth: An Iron Highway of Weapons Flows from the U.S.” and “Myth: The DTOs (Drug Trafficking Organizations) are Mostly Responsible.”
When the ATF promotes this kind of misleading data, it distracts from the real questions of our investigation: Why was the ATF was involved in a policy to allow guns to fall into the hands of straw purchasers who were then transporting them to Mexican drug cartels and who approved this reckless strategy? Congressman Issa and I are committed to getting to the bottom of this irresponsible decision, regardless of agency attempts to manipulate the truth.
