According to a police report, the woman was using a cane as she was about to enter the store when Shields grabbed her purse and fled. She yelled for help, and three men chased and caught Shields, the police report said. Matthew Ridenour and the other two men held him down, and Ridenour punched Shields when he thought Shields was going to swing at him, the report stated.
