New York City Mayor Bloomberg Looking Out For Number 1

From the "escape from New York" file:

NYC Buying One-Way Tickets for Homeless to Leave City

quote:

NEW YORK — New York City is buying one-way plane tickets for homeless families to leave the city. It's part of a program by Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration to keep the homeless out of the expensive shelter system, which costs $36,000 a year per family….

…Families have been sent to 24 states and five continents, mostly to Puerto Rico, Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.

Here is another article about Orlando.

Maybe Mayor Michael Bloomberg can give a few guns to each of the exiled family member to take with them as well, to lower the number of illegal guns in the city seeing as how all of his gun anal laws haven't done much to curtail gun crime in NYC, and have only served to leave law abiding New Yorker's defenseless and at the mercy of New Yorks numerous street thugs.
