Your Money Won't Protect You

Family of four robbed at gunpoint

quote:
Homeowners living inside the walled community with a guarded gate could not avoid becoming the victims of a violent home invasion...

...Police said two or three gunmen stormed in through a rear entrance to the home and pistol whipped one of the two adults inside.

...Homes in Village Walk community are priced as much as half a million dollars.

If caught, the violent offenders would be perfect candidates for the pistol whipping rehab class of 2009.

Anyhow, this story is a perfect example of people thinking that because they have the finances to purchase a home in a gated community with a guard, that they are isolated from Orlando area crime. The have not's go to where the loot is, and those upscale communities are usually inhabited by the liberal intelligentsia who are not known to be firearms owners, making them and their families an easy mark. The bottom line is, that your money can't protect you (unless you use it to hire someone like myself or one of my associates as a live in) and so the lesson here, is to get trained so that you can deal with situations like these which are becoming common place here in Orlando. Gun Shy once again reminds you, that your personal protection begins with you. You may also want to read this earlier entry about surviving in a dangerous urban environment, which is Orlando.
