The Fog of the Good Life

I chose the title, because that is what much of America is living in these days. As long as many have a twelve pack of cold beer and their favorite sports team, they are happy in an ossified way. It is almost like they don't want to confront the reality of what we are facing in the age that we are living in. As corporations fold and banks collapse, they just keep chanting the mantra of "change" hoping that it will all go away, without having to put up with any personal suffering financially or otherwise. If a picture is worth a thousand words, the one above represents the level of denial here in America. It is like I said in an earlier commentary, entertainment has become the opiate of the masses. Fifty seven news channels and nothing on.
